Sew Many Cards Challenge #4
Pixie Cottage Design Team Call
Tonight I've been finishing up my "audition" projects for a new Design Team at Pixie Cottage stamps. Click here to read more about this new line. Be sure to check out her blog and you will see why I am so excited. This beautiful girl is Musing Melinda by Elizabeth Bell. It is a wonderful Whiff of Joy stamp and I love it! I used some Imaginisce paper from the Fairest of Them All collection. I also got to play with my new shimmerz paint (all over her wings - not so visible in the picture though). I added some pearls on her bracelet - looks so much better in real life!

Cricut 100 Cartridge Celebration
I'm so excited - I just read on the cricut chat message board that provocraft is celebrating their 100th cartridge by giving away 100 cartridges!!! Can you believe it? 20 each week for 5 weeks. Here is the link for the products http://www.cricut.com/shopping/ProductDetails.aspx?id=361&s=1&sc=2 but you need to go to the cricut chat message board to see how to enter!

Club Anya
Happy Birthday Mom!
This is the card I made for my Mom's upcoming birthday (hope she doesn't see my blog between now and Friday)! I used Country Style by sugar nellie stamps. She is such a cutie but I'm not real pleased with my coloring. I "fiddled" too much around her chin and ended up getting some pink on her arms and chin I couldn't get out. I know now that next time I do a more detailed stamp like this that I need to emboss it first. Hope you enjoy!

Logan is Two!!!
I apologize for the picture - I'm still working on my photography skills! Anyway, as I've said before my mission is to get these 35mm prints I have scrapped so I can play more with my digital stuff. I used my cricut on this one - love that cupcake!!! It is so fun to make. I've still got to add my journaling but I couldn't decide where or how I want to do it. I'm going to sleep on it. Hope you are having a great weekend!

Practical Scrappers Design Team - WOW!
I just got an email last night notifying me that I had been picked to be on the design team for this wonderful new challenge site - Practical Scrappers! This site challenges us each week to use some of those supplies that we all have laying around in our little nooks (come on - admit you know that is part of the fun of this hobby is the collecting of paper, tools and embellishments!). Being a military family and moving often makes me very conscious of all the "stuff" I have collected during the time we are stationed at any one place so.....I'm really excited about this site and can't wait to really be put my "goodies" to work! Check it out HERE!
Sewn Together Challenge #1

These cards are from my first project as a Sewn Together Design Team member and I had so much fun with these adorable images. Wait until you see the cute cards that the design team came up with. I'm going to love working with these ladies! I'm not a big Halloween fan but....I love all the colors of the Halloween papers and these cute critters are perfect for them! I hope you will head on over and join us for Angela's first challenge! She even has two freebies this week to get you started! You can win some free images - click here for more details.Monday, August 24, 2009
Slidin'
I had so much fun playing with the new Scrapsketch challenge. Check it out here. (Please note the embedded link - yeah! Thanks Denise for the instructions as I probably would not have guessed it was those "goggles".) Don't you just love it when something turns out to be easier than you ever thought it could - especially when it has to do with technology! Anyway back to the sketch - I pulled out my new Basic Grey Lime Rickey papers and had a ball. The colors are fabulous! Yes, if you can read the fine print, these pictures are from the year 2000. Can you believe it? I still have loads of 35mm prints that need to be scrapped. I've made it my mission to finish those before I play with anymore of my digital ones. I'm pulling out a box and going through the year and scrapping away instead of just pulling out pictures that I just "feel like" scrapping. Making use of these sketches available on sites like Scrapsketch REALLY REALLY help get the process started.
