Sew Many Cards - Stairstep Challenge

WOW was this fun to make! I've not really stepped out of the "normal" style card before and I loved making this stairstep card. It was really easy - just some measuring and scoring. You can find a tutorial here. I used the new Morty the Moose from Angela's Sewn Together Stamps. I just don't think he could be any cuter! The trees and gift package were cut using my cricut and my son, Ryan, designed the greeting for me on the computer. Didn't he do a good job? Please stop by his blog (link on my sidebar) and leave him some love. He recently broke his arm and had to have surgery and he is feeling a little blue. He is the one that helped get my blog up and running! He has opened this whole new world for me.

Sew Many Cards Monday New Releases!

Every week I think Angela's new images just couldn't get any better than the previous week and she has done it again! These new images are ADORABLE!!! You've got to go check out her blog and see them all - this is just one of the new releases for this week. I had fun using liquid applique and lots of glitter, although my picture isn't showing it very well. IRL it is quite "blingy"!

Practical Scrappers Diecut Challenge

Practical Scrappers is having a diecut challenge this week and this is my LO using diecuts. It didn't turn out exactly as I had hoped but I love that fancy title from Christmas Noel. I still need to add my journaling but it is almost bedtime so I'll get to that tomorrow (sound familiar?). If you haven't already been over at Practical Scrappers or Sew Many Cards, you should join in as there is a really fabulous challenge blog hop going on this week and there are many wonderful prizes along the way!

Sew Many Cards Scarecrow Set/Pink Elephant Sketch

I'm beginning to really love sketches. It just makes it so much easier to get my project started. This sketch is the pink elephant challenge this week and it just put me in a fall mood for some reason. When we moved from South Dakota to Hawaii last year I didn't think I would ever miss cold weather but I do find myself longing for that crisp air of Fall (not that I'm complaining). This cute little scarecrow was designed by Angela over at Sew Many Cards (Sewn Together Digital Stamps) and you can find him here. He's part of a set that is free with just a $10 order! If you haven't already been over to visit, please come check her sweet stamps out and....check her blog as she is part of a challenge blog hop over the next week! Lots of wonderful goodies to win!

Practical Scrappers Felt Challenge

This week's challenge over at Practical Scrappers is to use felt on a project. I decided to make a layout. I'm so enjoying getting to make "girlie" pages that I knew I wanted to make some flowers so I pulled out my Sizzix die and went to work. I used my cricut for the grass border and the flower stem and leaves. I even took Rachel outside and had a photo session just for this page. I hope you like it! Come on over and join in on the challenge. Just click on the link in my sidebar for more info!

Scraplift Fun!

Here is what I've been playing with! I got this new Hero Arts deer stamp (well new to me anyway) and the MM Slice Ledger Pad and I just decided I wanted to play with them so.....I went and browsed through my favorites list over at the Hero Arts Flickr group and this is what I scraplifted. Pixie Cottage Design Team Call

Tonight I've been finishing up my "audition" projects for a new Design Team at Pixie Cottage stamps. Click here to read more about this new line. Be sure to check out her blog and you will see why I am so excited. This beautiful girl is Musing Melinda by Elizabeth Bell. It is a wonderful Whiff of Joy stamp and I love it! I used some Imaginisce paper from the Fairest of Them All collection. I also got to play with my new shimmerz paint (all over her wings - not so visible in the picture though). I added some pearls on her bracelet - looks so much better in real life!

This cute little guy is from CC Designs Cookie Crumbs line and it is from the Mushroom Friends set. The whole entire set is so cute!!!!! I will be posting more of these in the near future! I used some of my K & Co. paper on this one and again used my shimmerz on the flower center and the mushroom spots (so much better IRL). I pulled out the bling again on this one!

This sweet girl is also designed by Elisabeth Bell. It is a Sugar Nellie Stamp called Daisy. I just love how deep in thought she is - can't you just hear her saying "he loves me....he loves me not....". I pulled out some of my new Basic Grey Lemonade line for this one. Love those colors! Wish me luck!!!

Sewn Together Challenge #3

The challenge this week is to make a Christmas card with any of the Christmas images you choose. I love Eris so I chose this one of him hanging the star. The picture doesn't really show but I glittered up his star and lights with my glitter pens and they really do sparkle! Check out the other design team member's projects here. I'm sure you will enjoy them!

Practical Scrappers Punch Challenge

I made this card for the Practical Scrappers punch challenge. The challenge this week is to use simple punch shapes like you would in kindergarten. I used some of my Halloween scraps and one of my $1 studio g stamps with some glitter and some left over rafia. Check out the projects made by the other designers here - they are fabulous! Hope you enjoy!

Club Anya

Here are two Anya images I did for Club Anya's DT call and Practical Scrappers stamping week! I think Anya is just way too cute! I had so much fun working with these stamps. She is great to color with copics!

Happy Birthday Mom!

This is the card I made for my Mom's upcoming birthday (hope she doesn't see my blog between now and Friday)! I used Country Style by sugar nellie stamps. She is such a cutie but I'm not real pleased with my coloring. I "fiddled" too much around her chin and ended up getting some pink on her arms and chin I couldn't get out. I know now that next time I do a more detailed stamp like this that I need to emboss it first. Hope you enjoy!

Sewn Together Challenge #2

This my project for this week's Sewn Together Challenge. Angela challenged us to make a project with a Halloween image using only the colors: purple, yellow, neutral (no black but white is OK), red, and/or pink. You can use as many or as few of these colors as you want. This was actually quite fun - hard not to reach for the orange and black! The design team made some awesome projects this week. I am so honored to work with such talented ladies. Check them out here!
