Christmas Gleaming

I knew right away when I saw the new holiday catalog I wanted this Christmas Gleaming bundle!  This bundle includes the gorgeous stamp set and TWO punches!!  Great for someone that does not own a die cutting machine as you won't need it with this bundle!  All you need is this bundle, paper cutter or scissors,  some ink, cardstock and adhesive and you are good to go!  You can make the most gorgeous cards and treat holders...even ornaments with this set!  Do you remember these?  We can make something similar with these punches and it will be so much quicker than with the dies that these involved.

I will try to get an ornament or more made with these punches later this week!  Happy Crafting!

Painted Harvest

Yesterday I pulled out the Painted Harvest stamp set again and I had so much fun making this background!  I used Daffodil Delight to stamp the base and then the next layer in Pumpkin Pie...the beauty of this is that the stamps do not have to be lined up perfectly...it looks great however, you do it!  I then took granny apple green and stamped the two layers of foliage...for the lighter, I just second generation stamped (ink up your stamp and stamp off your project and then stamp on so your ink is lighter).  The center is stamped in crumb cake.  This sentiment is from the same stamp set and I stamped it on crumb cake and then cut it and the dark espresso layer with dies from the Ornate Frames dies and layered them on top of one another.  I'm sure hoping this die set is held over and doesn't retire with the holiday catalog because I LOVE it!!  I'm definitely getting a lot of use out of it!  That beautiful mini buffalo check is from the Neutral Designer Series Paper.  The raffia was just on my desk as I had saved it from some packaging from something.  Hope you enjoy this card!  Happy Crafting!

Halloween 2/4/6/8 Treat Box

I've still got parts and pieces left over from the last Paper Pumpkin kit so I made this fun little treat box.  This style box has been around for a long time so I don't know who came up with it but....I took a piece of the Monster Bash designer series paper and it cut down to 6 x 8 1/4.  I scored the 6" side at 2" and then the 8 1/4 side at 2 inches, 4, 6 and 8 inches (hence the name).  Then you just cut up the 6" side to the 2" score line and that makes the bottom of your box.  The 1/4 flap that is left on the tall side is where you put the adhesive to make the body of the box.  You can easily adjust this box to the height that you want....just take the height you need and add the 2" for the bottom and there you go!  I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set that came with my Paper Pumpkin kit and then the left over skeleton and made a couple of tags for my box and just that easy I have a cute little treat box!

May Your Christmas Be Bright!

Hope you had a nice long weekend!  Rachel and I were lucky enough to get to go visit family!  Here in Indiana, it is beginning to really feel like fall and I just got in a Christmas mood and made this card.  This card is super cute but really really super simple!  This Christmas designer series paper is retired but....there are beautiful new ones available.  I actually ordered this when it was on the clearance rack but it must have sold out fast as I checked and it is gone already.  The statement set I used is Making Christmas Bright and I used the wreath image and just stamped the sentiment right inside!  I added a little of my favorite polka dot ribbon and  some of the gold sequin trim that was also recently on the clearance rack.  If you are shopping on my stampin up site, it is always a good idea to check the clearance rack as they have awesome deals on there and they go fast.  Speaking of deals....I saw a little notice on our demonstrator page today that there is going to be a big sale next week so be sure to check back as I will share the details as soon as I get them!

Happy Crafting!!!

White Pumpkins!

I LOVE how this card turned out!  I love the earthy feel and even though I am drawn to all the traditional fall colors, I adore white pumpkins!  This card really only took minutes to put together.  I used the Birch background stamp on very vanilla cardstock.  I embossed a strip of early espresso cardstock with the Subtle embossing folder and added some whisper white baker's twine.  I stamped the pumpkin from Harvest Hellos stamp set in soft suede ink on very vanilla cardstock and punched it out with the Apple Builder punch.  Remember if you want both you can purchase it as a bundle and save 10%.  I then shaded the pumpkin with the Ivory Stampin Blend marker.  Those cute leaves are part of that same Harvest Hellos stamp set and I just water colored those with granny apple green, daffodil delight and pumpkin pie and then cut them out.  The sentiment is also included in that stamp set.  Hope you enjoy and give this card a try!  I'd love to see what you make!

The Skeleton Dance

I didn't get to stamp on National Card Making Day as my daughter and I were busy with a Girl Scout fundraiser but I did sit down yesterday and make a few things that I will be sharing this week!  This card was made using this past Paper Pumpkin kit!  I'm not much of a Halloween celebrator (is that a word...LOL) but I do love the colors and the fun decor!  I thought these little skeletons were adorable and this card idea was included in the instruction pamphlet so I just had to make one!  The sentiment was also part of this stamp set and I cut it out using the Ornate Frames Dies....I just cut one of the images down a little so I didn't cover up my skeletons too much!

If you aren't a Paper Pumpkin subscriber and would like to try it out...now is a great time!  Stampin Up always has wonderful holiday kits and if you sign up before October 10th you will get the October kit as your first one!  October and November kits are going to coordinate and they are called Winter Wonders.

If you are interested you can sign up online here and/or message me with any questions you might have.  These kits make great gifts also.  There is no obligation and you can start and stop as you wish.     I love getting my monthly surprise of crafty goodies!!!  The kits are $22 per month and shipping is included...the kits come with everything you need to make the projects for that month plus you always have left over pieces and the amazing stamp set that comes with it to use over and over again!  I've heard that October's kits will be cards and November's will be gift tags!  You just never know what it will be....past kits have included cards, home decor, gift bags, gift boxes, etc.  It's always something fun!  Happy Crafting!!

Pumpkin Apple Builder Punch!

Just playing around with this cute apple builder punch!  I wanted to make a quick 3D item and this punch is perfect for that!  Now, technically, it is the apple builder punch but on this beautiful fall day I just felt more like making a pumpkin. I just punched out 3 each of pumpkin pie and vanilla cardstock.   Before I punched I took the polka dot mask and sponged pumpkin pie ink on it....LOVE that look!!  I then just scored each piece down the middle and glued 1/2 of a pumpkin pie to 1/2 of a vanilla polka dot and so on until I add all but the last two halves together and then I added my stem just before I glued the last two pieces together.  Super cute and would be a fun project to do with kids, too!
