Celebrate Today!

Sticking with the patriotic theme...just wanted to share a card I made today for an Eagle Scout who is having his court of honor tonight!  Using those same designer papers I used on my last card, however, this time punching them with the pennant punch.  The sentiment comes from Perfectly Penned which you can find here.  I love the font on these sentiments!  This card came together literally in minutes!  Definitely something you could mass produce easily!

Milk Carton Box

Sorry to those who are already receiving their ribbon shares and have stopped by to see what that piece of cardstock with ovals punched in it included in your package should look like....as you can see I'm still not finished decorating mine.  I apologize for being late posting this....just didn't have the stamps I'd really like to finish it off with yet but at least you can see the finished shape.  Alas....again I can not take credit as I found the tutorial on how to make these super cute and super easy boxes here.  I LOVE that SU striped ribbon.....so wish I had bought more before it retired....it ties so nice.  All of the SU ribbon that I've played with so far is wonderful quality....so easy to work with!  If anyone from SU is listening....please please please bring that ribbon back....I'm not even picky about the colors...!!!!

Patriotic Flower

This card was so fun to make!  It's a take on the daisy card I made a week or so back ... even used the same petal, however, I turned it around so the pointed end is facing outward.  Doing that gives the flower a totally different look!  The petal comes from the Blossom Petals Punch....I can't believe I almost didn't order that...I'm so glad I went on and bought it!  I was feeling patriotic so I decided to go with the red, white and blue theme.  The red polka dot paper is from the Summer Smoochies Designer Paper and the blue striped paper is from the Brights Designer Paper Stack.  The sentiment is from the Petite Pairs Stamp Set and yes.....it is slightly crooked.  It's driving me crazy but I did that step very last and I didn't have time to correct it....it's driving my type A side nutty!  LOL!  IF I had just pulled out the Stamp A Ma Jig!!!!

Praying For You

I wanted to use a different style fold for my stamp and stack this week and I was searching the web....seems I like to look at everyone's creations as much or more than I love to create...LOL!  Anywho....I ran across this joy fold card here that I absolutely loved!  I loved it so much that I cased it exactly.....I was a little hesitant as I haven't used my markers that much to color in stamps and this one is so beautifully intricate that I was worried about how it would turn out.  I was AMAZED at how easy this technique is....so were the sweet ladies at my stamp and stack!  As I demonstrated it I think they were all a little worried about coloring in the small intricate branches and leaves but the stampin up markers make it sooo easy!!!  All you really have to do is run that brush tip over where you want the color...it stamped beautifully every time!  I even stamped it again on the back of this cardstock to make sure it wasn't a "lucky first time" and I got the same beautiful crisp image again!  One of the ladies at my stamp and stack even made a "striped" trunk on her tree and it was "tremendously trendy" looking!  LOVED it!!  I wish I had taken a photo of it!  The stamp set I used is called Thoughts and Prayers and it is a wonderful 2 package stamp set so if you order the clear mount set you actually get 2 DVD style cases full of stamps.  There are several wonderful sentiments and 2 beautiful images in this set.  I know this is another set that I will be pulling out time and time again.

Don't forget my Scallop Dot Ribbon Share is ending on the 15th so if you haven't already signed up, please contact me as soon as possible!

Happy Stampin!

I just had to pop back in and share a picture with you of this little box I made as a gift for the ladies coming to my stamp and stack tonight...it is made with the same stamp set as the card below.  I thought it would be nice to have a matching gift box!  This is the 2-4-6-8 box....I don't think I've made one of these before but I've seen it on the internet alot so I decided this would be super easy and quick as the ladies are coming in a matter of hours. Here's a picture of them together:

I see myself using this stamp set alot!!!!  I have to improve on my photography skills...these pictures don't do it justice for sure!

I am LOVING this Open Seas stamp set by Stampin Up.  It is so fun to work with.  I used every stamp in the set on this card...I never do that!  I saw this card for sale on Etsy and I didn't realize at the time that she stamped her own background paper.  Sorry....can't find the link right now.   That's something else I don't do very often as I have a hard time with placement....I can't seem to find that happy medium between too much and too little...lol!  This time though it was so fun and easy!  I second generation stamped the ledger and the anchor and globe are all stamped in Soft Suede as is the main ship image and the compass.  That is cherry cobbler and very vanilla cardstock.  I just love this nautical look...even if we are Air Force!  We will be making this card as a Father's Day card for my stamp and stack tomorrow night!  I'll let you know how the ladies liked it!

Just wanted to pop in and share this card we are making at my Stamp and Stack on Monday.  I cased this gorgeous idea from Mary Fish over at Stampin Pretty....you can see her beautiful card here.  I used the blossom petals punch for the petals and the 1 3/4" circle punch for the daisy and the Live in the Sunshine sentiment from the Pursuit of Happiness stamp set.  Once the flower was put together and the greeting stamped I then ran it through my Big Shot with the Squared Lattice embossing folder.  I'm so happy with this embossing folder....it is one of my all time favorites.  I love the added WOW that texture gives but this folder is even more amazing as it gives the finished product an almost quilted look!   This card was a cute handmade card before the embossing but after it took on a very professional look and the recepients are going to wonder how in the world you did that!

Just wanted to share a card I made for my sweetie for our anniversary recently.  The sentiment is from a retired set and the heart punches just recently retired, however, I think they are still available on the clearance rack here.  Just checked this morning and they were still available, however, those items on the clearance rack often sell out quickly as they are super good prices!  I used the lattice embossing folder which you can find here on my background layer.  LOVE that look!  This folder gives an almost quilted look!  GORGEOUS!  I'm using it alot!  Embossing folders are a great way to add some WOW to your projects and they are very inexpensive.

Best Dad Ever

Isn't that the cutest idea?  I wish I could take credit for it but, of course, I copied it from pinterest....love that site....so much inspiration there!  Anywho....not sure if this person came up with the idea but pinterest took me here.  I apologize but I used some retired papers and cardstock for this one as I was just playing around to see what I could come up with.  I have to say I do really LOVE this idea and talk about quick and easy.   The "bowties" are made from the pennant punch and I used my 3/4" circle punch for the centers.  The sentiment is from a current set called Best Dad Ever (betcha wouldn't have guessed that...lol).  You can purchase that set here
