Cookie Labels

I have to share this story with you....I was mortified but you might get a laugh out of it.  Yes, I live in paradise....beautiful sunny days with palm trees swaying in a gentle breeze and all that but.....can you say "bugs"!  Lots and lots of bugs that just thrive in paradise....LOL!  Well....I had a sweet friend invite me to her cookie swap and attending said cookie swap were mostly ladies I had never met before.  So I bake lots and lots and lots of snickerdoodles Thanksgiving afternoon and put them in a nice tupperware type container so they will be safe from afore mentioned bugs....On Friday we had a few errands to do and were running late getting home so I run in the house grab my cookies and head to my neighbor's house.  As I open my container of cookies (in front of everyone) I find that there was an entire colony of ants that had apparently been hiding under the lip of the lid of my "bug safe container" and they were just waiting to jump in on my cookies.  I was mortified!!!!  Anywho.....the photo above shows the cookie labels that I made for my friend to set out so that everyone could label their cookies....guess I should have labeled mine Snickerdoodles with Ants....  I used 2 of the larger tags on the Two Tags die to make my base.....I just put them end to end and overlapped the bottoms (note that the die does make a score line).  The designer paper is from Festival or Prints....love love love that paper!  I used the pinking edgelit from Finishing Touches to make the cute little edge from Old Olive cardstock.  Thta sweet tree is made using the Scensational Season Bundle....love being able to stamp and then use the coordinating framelit to cut it right out....no scissors involved!  The name plate was made using the Oval Punch which fits nicely inside the Scalloped Oval Punch.  I tied it up with some of that beautiful striped ribbon I've been hoarding since it is retired!  I saw this one on pinterest which inspired this whole design.

Don't forget the Online Extravaganza is ending in just a matter of hours!!!  Wed. the 28th specials are the Clear Block Bundle which is normally 66.95 on sale for 53.56 and the Clear Block Storage Caddy for said blocks which is normally 16.95 on sale for 13.56 and the Stack and Store Caddy which is normally 34.95 on sale for 27.96.  These items are on sale just for this last day of the sale but don't forget that this is the last chance to pick up those other goodies on sale also!!!

Wine Bottle Tag

I had a really hard time getting a good photo of this but I hope you can get the idea!  It really is super cute IRL....I had some ladies over for a stamp and stack the other night and we made these...everyone loved them.  So super easy to do but it sure dresses up a gift.  I used More Merry Messages for the sentiments.  I also used the Labels Collection Framelits and the Scallop Punch for this cute tag.  Stampin Up has so many fun things going on right now....check out this fun new product:

How cool is that?  I love the idea of putting them on things that have a story you don't want to forget like antiques or things that you have inherited and you want the kids to remember later why that something is special.  They are $7.95 for 10 tags (item #129723).

I have some awesome news to share with you.  The Online Extravaganza is getting ready to kick off!!!  It starts at midnight on Monday November 19th and will run through November 28th.  Please make note that there will be special 24 hour only deals on both the 19th and the 28th.  I've seen some of the deals that will be offered and you do not want to miss this sale!!!!  Some stamp sets are 50% off!!!

Also don't forget about the awesome promotion for new demonstrators going on now through Dec. 16.....you not only get the amazing demo kit of $125 worth of Stampin Up product that you choose for $99 and free shipping but you also get your choice of color family ink pads (excluding neutrals) for FREE!!  That's another $50 value!!!  What's not to love about that!  No obligation to sell if you just want to take advantage of this awesome deal!  I'd love to answer any questions you might have....please just click the email me button in my sidebar!

Naughty Santa Tag

I was searching the web for motivation for a tag it stamp and stack I was holding and I came across this cutie here.  I just had to make it!  I hand cut the actual tag shape and then used various punches to make my "Santa".  The "naughty" sentiment is from Tags til Christmas and the Do Not Open til Christmas is from More Merry Messages

Christmas Tree Tag

This tag is made using one of the single stamps offered through Stampin Up for a limited time.  This is the Christmas Lodge tree stamp and I LOVE it!  I haven't even added any bling to it and I'm not sure I will....I like the rustic countryish look as it is!  This is one quick and easy tag!  I used the Two Tags Die to cut the tag out and then stamped the tree off center and added my sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.  I used some gingham ribbon from my stash to just solidfy that countryish look I was going for.  Check out the individual stamps here as Stampin Up has taken some of their awesome stamp sets and broken them up so that you can buy them individually PLUS there are some never before seen ones, too!  These are only available this way through January 2...Stampin Up is doing a sort of pilot program to see how popular this option is.  I hope we see more in the coming year!!!

Christmas in the Heart

Tonight I'm having some friends over to make some projects and one of the "stations" is going to be tags, hence, why you've seen me posting so many tags.  I wanted to have lots of samples to "jumpstart" their creativity...lol!  I just got this beautiful stamp in the mail Monday and I couldn't wait to play with it.  It's called Heart of Christmas and it is a single stamp with a lot of punch!  I love the fonts and the shape of it all!  I just cut out another tag with my favorite Two Tags die and stamped it with En Francais in Raspberry Ripple.  I cut it out with one of the Labels framelits.  I then added some Raspberry Ripple ribbon in a "pleated" fashion....super easy and actually pretty quick to put together.

Triple Time Stamping Gratitude

Have you tried triple time stamping yet?  It is so much fun and so easy but what a WOW factor with the finished product!  I learned how to do this by watching Dawn's video here.  I used the Day of Gratitude stamp set for my card and cut out the sentiment with the Apothecary Accents Framelit.  Staying tuned to the TV tonight to see election news!

Scentsational Tag

Again I used the Two Tags Die....LOVE that die!!!  I used a shape from the Apothecary Accents Framelits and stamped it with the En Francis Background stamp to make the background.  I made a rosette from the Be of Good Cheer Designer Paper as a base for my image.  The image is from the Scentsational Season Stamp Set and cut out with the coordinating framelits.  Remember you can save by purchasing this stamp set and framelits in a bundle here!

Heartfelt Gratitude Tag

I wanted to make a tag like the one on pg. 32 of the holiday catalog.  This is what I came up with.  I cut out my tag from one of the framelits in Apothecary Accents...LOVE that set!  I stamped the tiny floral image from Tiny Tags along the center.  The sentiments come from Fabulous Phrases.  I used the 1 3/4 Scallop Circle punch to make a base for my button which is from my button stash....have no idea where it came from...LOL!

Gratitude Tag

I've been having so much fun making tags lately.  I decided to make a Thanksgiving one.  For this one I used the Two Tags Die and some Comfort Cafe Paper.  The sentiment is from the Day of Gratitude stamp set and I cut it out with the Apothecary Accents Framelits.

Stampin Up Jolly Christmas Card

Just wanted to share this super cute super easy technique with you today!  I'm busy working on my must have list for Monday's sale!

Snowflake Tag

I had a really hard time getting a picture that really shows this tag in it's real beauty!  I used the Two Tags Die to make the actual tag out of whisper white cardstock and stamped it in Baja Breeze with the En Francais Background stamp.  The next layer was made with the Snow Festival Designer Series Paper.  I used the new Snow Flurry Bigz Die to cut 2 of the large snowflakes and I embossed them with the Square Lattice Folder to make it pop.  Some Baja Breeze Seam Binding ribbon to make a bow and some baker's twine to hang it from and that's it.  So is everyone as excited as I am about the Stampin Up Monday sale?  Don't forget you can participate in the Craft Us Crazy Challenge and get an additional 10% discount from me personally so stack that with the 15% off stamp sale on Monday and it is Merry Christmas to us!!!

Stampin Up One Day Only Stamp Sale

I am so excited to share with you the news I just read on the Stampin Up Demonstrator site!!!  On Monday from 12:00 am (MT) to 11:50 pm (MT) Stampin Up will be discounting stamps (single and sets) 15%!!!  I have been a demonstrator just over 6 months but I have been purchasing SU products for years....I've never seen the stamps go on sale.  As a matter of fact, I've seen retired stamps sell on ebay for more than the stamps were priced at originally...  I've picked up some awesome deals on the clearance rack on paper, tools and embellies but never stamps!  I've participated in awesome promotions where you earn free product when you purchase product, etc. but not a discount like this that is pretty much across the board!!!  I'm already working on my wish list!  The only exclusions I have seen are hostess stamps, bundled sets and some digital brush kits.  PLUS the single stamp pilot is going so well that SU has added several more stamps and these include some wonderful image stamps!  These will be available during the sale also.  I can't seem to add the flier to my blogpost....I'll try to figure that out and get it posted so you can see the new ones being offered as single stamps.

If you want to take advantage of the sale but you won't be near your computer on Monday or you would just prefer me to place your order for me as I'm sure the site will be pretty busy, just email me your order and I'll get it placed for you.

Celebrate Today

I enjoy looking at all the talented stampers' blogs and pinterest so much I can hardly get myself in my craft room!  LOL!  I have so much fun making these cards but I have to admit I am just in awe of all the creative people out there to the point that I hardly ever have to do the planning as there are so many fun things I want to try that I've seen someone else make that I could craft 24 hours a day for the next year and not make them all....he he he!  This card is no exception....the very talented Connie over at Simply Simple Stamping is one of my favorites and I love her new video series called flash cards.  She has some gorgeous cards that come together so quickly and easy... you will be amazed at how quickly you can put a project like this together.  Here is the tutorial for this one.  This sentiment is from the Perfectly Penned Sentiment set and it is one of the sets that Stampin Up has started a pilot program with to see how well breaking up the set and selling individual stamps goes over.  The stamps from this set are $4.95 or $5.95.  Please feel free to email me if you are interested in more information about those or if you have any questions at all.

Ornament Keepsake Vintage

I know I know another card with that Ornament Keepsakes Bundle but I LOVE it! I'm having so much fun with it! This card came from Connie and her awesome flash cards system....you can see her tutorial here. This card uses the gorgeous Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder along with the En Francais background stamp. We made this card at my most recent stamp and stack and everyone loved it! It really is quick and easy and is one that you could mass produce! Don't miss out on the special going on this month with this wonderful Ornament Keepsakes Bundle....you can see all the details here!

Ornament Keepsakes Bag

Can I just say I'm having so much fun with this Ornament Keepsakes Bundle?!!!  I know you've heard me say before that I LOVE when stamps and punches/framelits coordinate!!!  Well....this is the ultimate coordinating set!!  All the ornaments in this set are stunning and add so much to any project.  As you can see here I really didn't do much work on this project.  A couple of Top Note die cuts and three ornaments and wa la!!  I have a really elegant gift bag!  Here is a side view:

I just took one of the glassine bags that came in my Ghoulish Googlies Stamp Bundle and cut it down just a little and adhered a top note die cut to each side.  The ornament was constructed by just folding each ornament in half and then adhering them together on the sides.  I apologize for not posting about this awesome special that is going on for the month of October.....I can't believe it is already the middle of the month!  This special is good through this month so you do still have time to take advantage of this AMAZING special!  Stampin Up is saying Merry Christmas early this year so that you will have time to use this gift on your holiday projects for this holiday season and more!  What it amounts to is that you purchase either the Ornament Keepsakes Stamp set and the Candlelight Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper or the ALREADY DISCOUNTED Ornament Keepsakes Stamp set and framelits bundle and the Candlelight Christmas Speciality Designer Series Paper then you will recieve a FREE Festive paper Piercing Pack!!!  This paper piercing pack is a set of 3 templates:  one coordinates with the ornament keepsakes framelits one that coordinates with the windows framelits, and one that coordinates with the labels collection.  Here are the details:

I apologize as I'm having trouble enlarging this image so that you can see it large enough to read it.  You can easily see the details on my SU site here.  Stampin Up also has another promotion going on through January 2, 2013.  You have the option now to purchase single sentiment stamps from the Word Play, Perfectly Penned and Seasonal Sayings stamp sets.  These individual stamps run in price from about 4.95 to 6.95.  Please email me if you have any questions about any products and I'll be more than happy to answer them.

Pastor Appreciation

Just wanted to pop in and share what I've been working on today.  I made some cards for our Pastors for Sunday as it is Pastor Appreciation Day.  I used one of my all time favorite stamp sets Open Seas.  I used the Triple Stamping Technique which Dawn demonstrates so beautifully here.  My sentiment is from the Tiny Tags stamp set.  I punched it out with the coordinating Jewelry Tag Punch.   I love it when stamps and punches coordinate and I don't have to hand cut!!!  I took some of my gorgeous retired striped ribbon that I've been hording and cut it in half to make it a little more narrow and frayed the cut edge out some.  I laid down some stricky strip and then just "pleated" my ribbon as I stuck it down...love that wavy look!  Especially since we attend a military chapel and the pastors I am making these cards for are all Navy...doesn't it make you think of a flag waving in the wind?

Holiday Cover Ornament

Here is my version of the ornament on the Holiday Catalog cover.  It actually is super easy to make!  It just takes a little time because you need 20 of each ornament but it comes together quickly.  I  "stood up" my red ornaments a little too high and didn't leave room for my rosette in the middle.  I'm going to remember that next time.  Stampin Up has a wonderful discounted bundle that includes the stamp set and the framelits you need to easily cut these ornaments out.  LOVE not having to cut by hand!  I could NEVER cut these so neatly by hand anyway!  You can get the clear mount bundle here and the wood mount bundle here!  Buying it in the bundle vs. separately saves you about 15%!!!  Plus don't forget the free spool of ribbon promotion that ends on Sunday!  You get your choice of a free spool of in color stitched satin ribbon with every $40 you spend!

Frankie Treat Bag

My daughter and I had so much fun last night making these super cute treat bags that the uber talented Chic N Scratch showed a while back.  You can see her awesome tutorial here.  This top note die is certainly versatile....love all the fun things you can do with it!  This project was super easy and super quick....just need the top note die and 2 different size circle punches (I used the 1" and the 3/4") and some cardstock and you are really good to go.  The "hair" I just free handed....super easy!  The eyelids and nose are just the 1" circle cut in half and inked around the edges.  I think Frankie is quite cute!  LOL!  Hope you will give making one of these a try!  I'm thinking a cute reindeer maybe for Christmas!

Ghoulish Googlies Treats

Just got the rest of my Ghoulish Googlies Bundle yesterday and can you say FUN!!!!!  My 4 year old daughter and I had so much fun playing with this kit.  She even woke up this morning asking for more "googlie eyes".  There will definitely be some more of those on my next order and they work so beautifully with this Googly Ghouls stamp set.  For just $16.95 (minus 20% if you take advantage of my personal sale and order now....details in post below)....you get the stamp set AND the whole designer kit which comes with these super cute little glassine bags that are SOOOO cute embossed!!!!!  You also get 2 sheets of the diecuts you see as my tags in the projects I made plus a package of googlie eyes and coordinating baker's twine!!!  These googlie eyes are adhesive backed so they are so easy to adhere to your project!  You can see I went a little crazy with them!  So cute for little gifts!  You can see the 3 Musketeers through the bag in the photo above.  I put 3 of the little snack size ones in there and it filled the bag nicely.

Bat Treat Topper

I spend too much time on pinterest but it so full of amazing ideas and it is wonderful to have them all in one place!  Anywho....I saw this on there and had to try one.  I already had my top note die out from my last project...see below....so I was ready to go.  This is so super quick and easy!  I didn't have the super large circle punch so I used a spellbinder framelit I had already for my "moon" and then the bird builder punch to get my branch.  The bat is just the owl from the owl punch turned upside down.  His wings are the vest from the punch just turned on their side.  I again used the very vanilla craft ink to sponge around the edges to make the black pop a little.  I just realized as I'm typing this that I need to add a mouth to my owl....LOL!  I'll do that with a silver marker when I find one.  Hope you try this project as it was alot of fun to put together and comes together super fast!  Again...something you could easily mass produce.  If you don't already have this punch....I'd love to help you out.  Plus I'm having a 20% off sale....you can see the details in the post below.

Toxic Treats Gift Card Holder

I LOVE pinterest.  I was looking around there tonight and saw a super cute gift card holder here.  I decided to make a Halloween version....I used the super cute stamp set again called Toxic Treats.  Don't forget if you place an order with me before the end of the month you will get your name placed once for every $40 spent in a drawing for this awesome stamp set.  I'll be drawing October 1st so you will have plenty of time to make those super cute Halloween projects!  If you order by this weekend I'll give you 20% off your order before shipping and tax.  AND.....don't forget the Stampin Up special this month of a free spool of in color stitched satin ribbon with every $40 you spend.  Here is the inside of the card:

I used the top note die....that die is so amazingly versatile!  I cut three of them.  Two out of the basic black cardstock and one out of the super cute Howlstooth and Scaringbone Designer Series Paper.  I cut the DSP one in half to use 1/2 on the top of one top note die cut and the other on the bottom half of the second die cut....note to self only put adhesive around the three edges of the second one....ask me why I'm pointing that out....LOL!  Decorate and add a brad to make the top "swing" and you are good to go.  By the way that super cute image was cut out using the Labels Collections framelits .... if my memory serves me it was the smallest one and then I used the next size up to make a mat for it.  To make the black stand out a little more I sponged some Very Vanilla craft ink around the edges.  Really cute and super easy to mass produce!  Hope you enjoyed this project!  Happy Crafting!

Two Tags Gift Card Holder

I needed to make something super quick tonight to give to my daughter's ballet teacher in the morning as the facility we've been taking lessons at is closing.  I wanted something to dress up a gift card and the Two Tags die is perfect for that!  I found this double sided paper in my stash and I just used one side up for the die and the other to make a little wrap for it to slide in to.  I used the Delicate Doilies die as a background for my rosette.  My Thank You sentiment comes from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set and I cut it out with the coordinating Bitty Banners Framelits.   Here is another picture showing the individual pieces:

This die cuts the little flap to slide the gift card in so all I had to do was insert my gift card and add some baker's twine.  I know I'll be using this die quite often with the holidays coming up so fast!  Super quick and easy project!

Halloween Treats & A Super Treat for You

I can't say that I'm a big fan of halloween but I do love the decorations!  I was playing around with some ideas for my daughter's gifts to classmates this year and this is what I came up with.  I used the super cute and versatile hostess set out of the holiday catalog called Mixed Medley for the spider web and the Treats for Boo!  What an awesome set for $10 hostess dollars!  The minimum order for a "party" which wins you $25 in hostess dollars is only $150.....and you can choose to spend those dollars on anything you want, however, the specially priced hostess sets can only be purchased with hostess dollars.  So why not grab a friend and put together your order of $150 or more and you could both get this stamp set for free!  I'm working really hard to reach a goal by Sept. 15th so I'm offering my blogger friends a 20% discount on your orders from now until the 15th!  PLUS Stampin Up has their special going on with a free spool of in color stitched satin ribbon of your choice with every $40 you spend so for instance $160 would earn you 4 spools of ribbon!  PLUS....I will be putting your name in a drawing for the super cute Toxic Treats stamp set once for every $40 you spend with me.  I'll be drawing a winner on October 1st for that!

Here is a close up of the little toppers!  The smallest circle (Treats for Boo) was punched out with the 3/4" circle punch and the spider web was punched with the new 1 and 1/4" scallop punch in the new holiday catalog.  The black was punched with the 1 and 3/4" scallop punch.....love how they layer up!  By the way those are candy corn M&Ms.....can you say yummy!

I saw a super cute card made in this order on pinterest....here.  I love the simplicity of it!  Living in a military community we get new neighbors all the time so I really needed to make some "welcome to the neighborhood" type cards and this is what I came up with.   I used Field Flowers on Crumb Cake cardstock with Gumball Green ink for the stems and a retired color I think it was called Really Rust for my blooms and the welcome banner.  I really want some Tangerine Tango to make this card again as I think that would really make the blooms "pop".  That sweet little Welcome banner was made using Fabulous Phrases and then cut out with the new Bitty Banners Framelits

Christmas Tags

I was so happy to finally get some "play" time in my craft room this weekend.  I came up with a couple of tags I hope you will enjoy.  I'm so loving this new Ornament Keepsakes bundle which I used on the "to my friend" tag....that phrase comes from the Friendly Phrases stamp set.  The For You tag gets its sentiment from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set and I used the coordinating Bitty Banners Framelits to cut it out.  The sweet "merry" tag was made using the Tiny Tags stamp set with the coordinating Jewelry Tag Punch.  That cute Christmas tree was made so quickly and easily by using the Pennant Punch....I just punched out 4 pennants, scored down the middle of each one and then adhered them back to back.  That cute polka dot paper comes from the designer series paper Be Of Good Cheer...so cute!!!  Oh and I almost forgot.....both of the tags are actually the same diecut....one is just folded up and I used the awesome Two Tags Bigz Die for that!

Ornament Keepsakes...old ink pad vs. new ink pad

Just had a few minutes to play today between picking up kids, etc. and I couldn't wait to play with the new Ornament Keepsakes and the new coordinating Framelits.  You can purchase them separately, however, you can buy them in a bundle and save some money!   Check the bundle out here!  Love how easy these are to work with!  I stamped my image first and then just laid the framelit on top of the image (notice it is called a framelit because it frames the image....you can see through it to line up your image) and ran it through my big shot....didn't have to tape it in place or anything which is nice if you are mass producing!  I knew I loved the new Stampin Up foam ink pads but I hadn't really compared the resulting images side by side and I decided to do that today.  On the left I used an old style Ruby Red pad I had...granted it is a little older but it seemed quite juicy and on the right is the new style pad in Raspberry Ripple.  Keep in mind that the Raspberry Ripple is a much darker almost jewel tone red but you can clearly see how much cleaner and crisper the new ink pads stamp!  Love it!!!  I actually had inked the Ruby Red up quite a few times....really did the twist, pat, twist, pat thing but with the Raspberry Ripple it was just a quick tap tap and onto the paper and this is the first result I got.  Just wanted to share this with you if you have been on the fence about trying the new ink pad.

Ruffled Ribbon Share

Just a little picture if you've been thinking about this ribbon share....this ribbon is gorgeous and has soo much texture.   I'm including some coordinating brads and some matching sheer ribbon from the saleabration kits.  It is open until Monday but I had some that just came in with an order I received this week so I went ahead and made one up.  The ribbon share includes one yard of each of 5 colors as shown and is just $5 plus $2 shipping.  If you would like more than one share I will cut your ribbon consecutively so that you have one large piece instead of several one yard pieces.  It's a great way to have some of each color on hand without having to purchase a whole spool of each!  Just drop me an email by Monday August 6th if you want to be included in this share!

My "Scrappy Space"

I've been waiting to post pictures of my new scrapbook space until it is all nice and clean....well that doesn't happen that often so I decided this afternoon I should just go ahead and post pictures as this is what it looks like in real life.  It is actually fairly clean right now..I just picked up after a friend of mine and I made birthday invitations.  We are a military family so this is temporary but I'm feeling so blessed to have this space while I am here!

This is the view from the living room looking in...I have these wonderful louvered doors I can close if it is too messy.  We are in an old historic home with these really neat old windows!  Love them!

This side is a mixture of my craft stuff and the boy's school desks.

The only downfall to having all these beautiful windows is that I don't have much wall space for any larger cabinetry so I did take advantage of these two spaces behind the doors going into the living room.  You can't really see in the photos but there is an entry to the right by the small cabinet with the ink carousel on top that leads into the kitchen.  I've crafted in various places..like my laundry room at one duty station, closets, etc. so I'm so happy to have this large bright place to scrapbook in.  I will surely miss it when we have to leave but I'm going to enjoy it all I can while we are here!
