Healing Hugs

I was just playing around this afternoon with the Healing Hugs stamp set and I wanted to try out a layout I saw on our Stampin Up demonstrator page (at least I think that is where I first saw it).  I would love to give credit but I can't find it again so if you are the person that made the card with the pretty spring colors and the Painted Seasons stamp set please let me know.  I thought I saved it but it isn't there now. Hers was much more beautiful than mine but I am still happy with the results.  If you enlarge the picture you can see the ever so subtle embossing that is done with the Subtle Embossing Folder.  I think it gives the illusion that it is raining.  This is one of the DistINKtive stamp sets and I LOVE how much depth these images have.  They are so fun to work with.  I'm excited to share that we have a sneak peek about April's Paper Pumpkin kit:

If you sign up for Paper Pumpkin by April 10th then you will get this kit!  I can't wait to see it!  If you are new to Stampin Up and/or Paper Pumpkin, it is a monthly kit that comes in the mail and it is always a surprise.  We have seen all sorts of projects, gift bags, gift boxes, cards, home decor, calendars, etc.  It always comes with everything you need to make the projects and more.  Your first kit will include a stamp block that you will use on future kits, too.  Each month you get a stamp set, project materials, a stampin up ink spot and even adhesives.  You just need your scissors possibly to cut any ribbons that might be included.  You can start and stop your monthly kit whenever you want as there is no minimum obligation.  The kits are just $19.95 and that includes shipping.  You will have the projects that your kit makes, plus extra supplies, and the stamp set and the ink spot to use over and over to make more projects.  There are even Paper Pumpkin groups on facebook that even post alternative ideas on how to use the "parts" of your kit.  If you are here local to me I'd love to host a Paper Pumpkin get together each month and we can assemble them together.

Here is another card I did like the one above, however, I used a leaf from a different stamp set, no embossing but added some pearls and a different sentiment from the same Healing Hugs stamp set.  I did a little water coloring on this one.  Don't forget if there is anything you want from Sale-A-Bration, it ends Sunday night (the 31st).  No fooling!

Celebrate!

Angie from Chic n Scratch made this cute fun fold card today and I couldn't wait to try one!  You can see her tutorial here.  I used the Hello Cupcake stamp set again.....love stacking that icing!!  The sentiment is also in this stamp set and it will only be available until March 31st.  You can choose it as a freebie with your $50 order.  The sweet little heart embellishments are some left overs from a Paper Pumpkin kit.  As demonstrators we have been given a "clue" to the April kit and it is going to include a DistINKtive type stamp or maybe two or even more!  To get the April kit you need to sign up before April 10th.  If you purchase a 3 month or more prepaid subscription before the end of this month then you can also get this cupcake stamp set for free or anything else you choose from the level 1 Sale-A-Bration items.  These kits are so fun and include everything you need to make the projects for that month plus you will have the stamp set and the ink to use on future products plus there are usually many other "extras" you can use also!  Makes a great gift for a crafty friend or even a friend who doesn't see herself as crafty as all the instructions are included!

Here is a view of this card open.  You can put your message on the panel directly behind the image.

Hold on To Hope

I wish I could take credit for this design but I saw something like this done in browns and golds on pinterest and it is gorgeous.  You can see it here.  I wanted to see what it would look like in silver and blueberry bushel and I LOVE it!!!  This card uses the Hold on to Hope stamp set and the Cross of Hope framelits.  This gorgeous set definitely has a lot to offer!!  Look at those sentiments!  They are awesome and could make the focal point of a card all by themselves.  Those framelits are amazing, too!  There are 4 different crosses!  You will see that I stamped one and then die cut it and another slimmer one to layer!  There is also an amazing banner!  You might overlook some of the extras as there are dies for the little flower and butterfly and that amazing floral vine!  That alone could be used with so many different projects!  I can't believe I have overlooked but I plan on using it more for sure!!  If you haven't taken advantage of Sale-a-bration yet, or even if you have, this stamp set along with the die set comes within $1 of earning a freebie!  Sale-a-bration ends on March 31st and those stamp sets will be gone.  The embossing folder is going to carry over so that it can be purchased in the new summer catalog but the stamp sets do not carry over.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Fable Friends Bunny Love

Have I told you how much I love this little bunny image in the Fable Friends stamp set?  He is so cute!!!  The lower patterned paper is from the brights collection. I used the sprinkles stamp from the Hello Cupcake stamp set which you can get free until March 31 or until supplies last with a $50 purchase to make my background on the Coastal Cabana card stock.  I layered the Coastal Cabana with the gray granite and I'm loving that color combo!  Again I used my favorite tulle ribbon!

Botanical Birthday

I have had the Botanical Tags die set for a while now and I don't know why I haven't pulled them out to play.  They are so super cute!  This little tag is done in Coastal Cabana and Poppy Parade with a little of that fun tulle ribbon that I love!  That sentiment is from the All That You Are stamp set.  Super cute and easy and adds a sweet touch to a gift!

Quackers!

Are these not the cutest little ducks you have ever seen?   These sweet images and the greeting are from the Fable Friends stamp set.  I colored them in all their sweetness with my Stampin Blends.  If you haven't tried these markers yet you should really try them out and Sale-a-Bration is a great time to do that as you can earn freebies with every $50 you spend.  I was a huge copic fan and I really do like these as much as I do copics PLUS you can get these in colors that coordinate perfectly with our cardstock, ribbon and other inks, too!

Here is a picture of the inside of the card:

Sadly, Sale-a-Bration is coming to an end on March 31st.  So if you want to take advantage of the special freebies, you want to get your order in within the next few days!  If you have ever toyed with the idea of becoming a Stampin Up demonstrator and/or just want the kit so you can take advantage the great promotion going on during Sale-a-Bration and then have your discount for at least the next full quarter and longer if you meet the minimum $300 order per quarter, please feel free to touch base with me as I will be happy to help you!  For only $99 you get $175 in product, a free Paper Pumpkin kit and free shipping plus all the business materials you need to get started.

Aloha Beach Happy

Can't you just hear the waves?  It is a really dreary day here and I just wanted to play with something fun today so I pulled out the Beach Happy stamp set.  I knew when I saw this cute beach chair photo frame that I wanted to use this stamp set with it.  I love those palm trees heat embossed!  This was actually really quick and easy to put together.  I did some sponging for the background, heat embossing on the palm trees and the sentiment, a little two step stamping on the beach chair and a little paper piecing on the umbrella and that was it.  I purchased this cute frame at Walmart.  If you like this fun stamp set, you might want to grab it as it is in the occasions catalog which ends June 3rd, however, things have been selling out left and right.

As always, please let me know if you have any questions and/or you are interested in purchasing any of the amazing Stamping Up products!  Happy Crafting!

Cupcake Bliss

Just received my framelits for the Hello Cupcake stamp set that is free with a $50 order during Sale-a-bration which ends March 31st!  Unfortunately, the framelits have sold out already.  The only one I used on this project is the cupcake stand though and I will gladly cut some out for you if you place an order between now and the end of this month.  The sweet sentiment I used is also from this stamp set and I used my Stitched Shapes framelits to cut out the sentiment and then layered that on some Bermuda Bay cardstock which I punched out with the Pretty Label punch.  You can barely tell that I actually had to punch out two and layer them behind the stitched oval to make it large enough.  When I stamped my cupcake I just made sure to leave plenty of room to add my sentiment.  The striped paper is from the Brights Designer Series Paper.  As always, feel free to contact me with any questions and I'll be happy to help.

You're Inspiring

Love this big daffodil image in the You're Inspiring stamp set!  This set not only has this gorgeous image but others plus some great sentiments!  You can use it to make Easter, Mother's Day, or spring birthday projects without even pulling out another stamp set!  I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies on this one to layer up the image.  I love how easy they are to use....no measuring just cut and layer.  That gorgeous gingham paper is the Gingham Gala paper.  It is perfect for spring projects!  One side has a small gingham check and the other has more of a buffalo check as I used on this project.  If you like this paper, you should order quickly as it is going to sell out fast...it's already been on backorder once.  I colored the image with my Stampin Blends and the "splatters" you see are just from my "flicking" my brush tip against the cap of my blend marker.  I love how it breaks up the white space and adds dimension.  This is a super cute and easy card to duplicate!  That daffodil delight ribbon is from the clearance rack.  There are always some super deals so be sure to check out that section, too!

Hope you enjoy this card and I'd love to see what you are making!  Please post in my comments here or over on my facebook page.

Drumroll please......the winner of my blog candy is Judy Riggs!!!

Have a great day and Happy Crafting!

Lasting Lily Home Decor

I found this cute little 4x6 shadowbox on a pedestal at Walmart yesterday and I couldn't wait to decorate it in a spring theme.  I couldn't find it on the website, however, they are made by Better Homes and Gardens and my store had lots of them.  I had a really hard time getting a good photo due to the glass and the fact that we are having a really dreary day here.  Here is a close up of the inside:

I used my absolute favorite Sale-a-Bration stamp set called Lasting Lily and I stamped it in Grapefruit Grove and Lemon Lime Twist.  Note that Lemon Lime Twist is an In Color for 2017-2019 which means it will retire in June when the new catalog comes out,,,if it doesn't sell out first soooo if it is one of your favorites (like me) you might want to stock up on cardstock, ink refills, ribbons, etc. so you can use it for many years to come!  Plus if you stock up before March 31 you can earn free Sale-A-Bration level 1 items when your order reaches $50 or a level 2 item with every $100 in product you purchase.  If you get your order in before midnight this Saturday (March 9th) you will be entered into my blog candy, too!  One neat trick that I discovered as I was making this project is that the stem/leaf stamp is so flexible that you can actually manipulate the leaf to be on the opposite side as I did here but it's hard to tell because the ribbon is covering it up.  I have ordered the coordinating Lily framelits and I can't wait to try those out!  I may redo this so that I can have even more dimension...may even just get away with adding some more lilies!    That sweet sentiment is from the Country Home stamp set.  You will be seeing more of that stamp set, too!  Love how pretty the images are but it also has so many different sentiments!  Check out that polka dot ribbon again!  If I could only pick one ribbon that would be it!  It goes with everything and it just absolutely beautiful.  I also used some retired lemon lime twist ribbon that was on the clearance rack just a bit ago.  Always check out that clearance rack because you never know what you will find and at big discounts!  I will leave you with one more pic of this fun project from a little different angle:

Fable Friends Basket

I watched Angie from Chic n Scratch make this cute basket and I had to try this one, too!  You can find her video tutorial here.  I am loving this little bunny from the Fable Friends stamp set.  I'm sure I'll be using him/her a lot but there are some other really cute images in this set, too!  I'm anxious to make something with those ducks.  The greeting I used is from the You're Inspiring stamp set.  Love the font on this one!  That stamp set also has some beautiful daffodils that I can't wait to play with!  I punched out my greeting using the Duet Banner punch.  I added some little adhesive jewels that I had left over from one of my Paper Pumpkin kits.  There are always so many goodies left over from these kits!  If you have already signed up for Paper Pumpkin yourself but want to earn some Sale-A-Bration freebies, consider giving a prepaid subscription as a gift....wonderful Mother's Day gift!!  It is also a great gift for someone that is always on the go or someone that is new to stamping.  Everything you need comes in this great little box that you can literally just grab and go.  Your first kit even comes with an acrylic block!!  If you are considering taking advantage of the new demonstrator kit you will even receive a paper pumpkin kit in your order for free!  Remember, for just $99 you can choose $175 in product and you will get all the business items and free shipping or you can do all of that and get the amazing tote for $129.  If you have any questions at all, I'd be glad to help!

Paper Pumpkin Alternative #2

Have I told you how much I like February's Paper Pumpkin stamp set?  This greeting is from that stamp set and so is the teacup image in the background!  I stamped this image in Lovely Lipstick and then realized I didn't have any Lovely Lipstick cardstock so I used Melon Mambo and I'm thrilled how well they go together!  It was one of those happy accidents as the tone on tone image shows up much better in Lovely Lipstick!  Love that polka dot tulle ribbon!!!  Just a reminder that this month's Paper Pumpkin kit will be a special birthday celebration kit and will contain not one but two stamp sets!!!  It's only $19.95 per month including shipping and it's always a surprise!  Even as a demonstrator we don't know what's coming but it is always fabulous and has everything you need to make a project from start to finish and usually lots of goodies left over to use on other things.  Plus....you have the stamp set and ink spot to keep on creating with!  You can prepay for your subscription here and earn Sale-a-Bration freebies with every $50 you spend!  Once you check out on my website then Stampin Up will send you a code (think gift card) and then you can go here to enter it in and get your goodies coming!!!  There is no obligation once you sign up as you can start and stop it whenever you want.  If you are going to be out of town and want to skip a month then you can certainly do that.  I'd really appreciate it if you would chose me as your demonstrator when you sign up!!  Be sure to check out yesterday's post about my blog candy, too!  You must purchase and sign up before March 10 to get this month's kit.  If you sign up after the 10th your first kit will be the April one as long as you get it started by April 10.

Blog Candy!!!

I'm cleaning out my stamp stash and decided to offer some blog candy today!!!  If you place an order on my Stampin Up website (just click the button to the right to be taken there) of $50 or more you will not only earn one or more Sale-A-Bration freebies but I will also place your name in a drawing to win this retired Stamp Set called Bountiful Border.  To enter you must place your order and use my Host Code RXK3A3HT unless your order is $150 or more and at that amount your order can be considered your own "party" so you will earn 3 level 1 Sale-A-Bration items or 1 level 2 and 1 level 1 item plus you will earn Stampin Rewards which gives you monies to spend on either special hostess stamp sets or whatever you would like out of the current catalogs.  I will still enter you in the drawing for this stamp set, too!  Your order must be placed by midnight on March 9 to be entered in this drawing.  I will draw a name on March 10.  If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact me!  Thanks and Happy Crafting!

Ronda's Easter Basket

It sure doesn't feel like Easter could be coming soon but it is!!!  I watched Ronda Wade make this on her facebook live last week and couldn't wait to make one!  If you search for her Creating Success Page on FB and go to her Feb. 27th post you will see a video of her making this cute basket!  Basically, you take a 8 1/4 x 8 1/4 piece of cardstock (I used Highland Heather) and score it at 2 3/4 and 5 1/2 on both sides.  The designer series paper is the new gingham gala paper and it is so fun!!!  You will need four 2.5 x 2.5 pieces for your front and back overlapping flaps.  This gingham paper comes in 6 x 6 so the left over strip you can use for the handle.  This basket is actually quite a nice size.  You can make a smaller one using a 6 x 6 size paper and score it at 2 and 4 on both sides.  That cute flower is the daisy punch and I punched two out of whisper white cardstock.  This project is super cute and easy....would be easy to make multiples!
