Logan is Two!!!
I apologize for the picture - I'm still working on my photography skills! Anyway, as I've said before my mission is to get these 35mm prints I have scrapped so I can play more with my digital stuff. I used my cricut on this one - love that cupcake!!! It is so fun to make. I've still got to add my journaling but I couldn't decide where or how I want to do it. I'm going to sleep on it. Hope you are having a great weekend!

Practical Scrappers Design Team - WOW!
I just got an email last night notifying me that I had been picked to be on the design team for this wonderful new challenge site - Practical Scrappers! This site challenges us each week to use some of those supplies that we all have laying around in our little nooks (come on - admit you know that is part of the fun of this hobby is the collecting of paper, tools and embellishments!). Being a military family and moving often makes me very conscious of all the "stuff" I have collected during the time we are stationed at any one place so.....I'm really excited about this site and can't wait to really be put my "goodies" to work! Check it out HERE!
Sewn Together Challenge #1
These cards are from my first project as a Sewn Together Design Team member and I had so much fun with these adorable images. Wait until you see the cute cards that the design team came up with. I'm going to love working with these ladies! I'm not a big Halloween fan but....I love all the colors of the Halloween papers and these cute critters are perfect for them! I hope you will head on over and join us for Angela's first challenge! She even has two freebies this week to get you started! You can win some free images - click here for more details.

Slidin'
I had so much fun playing with the new Scrapsketch challenge. Check it out here. (Please note the embedded link - yeah! Thanks Denise for the instructions as I probably would not have guessed it was those "goggles".) Don't you just love it when something turns out to be easier than you ever thought it could - especially when it has to do with technology! Anyway back to the sketch - I pulled out my new Basic Grey Lime Rickey papers and had a ball. The colors are fabulous! Yes, if you can read the fine print, these pictures are from the year 2000. Can you believe it? I still have loads of 35mm prints that need to be scrapped. I've made it my mission to finish those before I play with anymore of my digital ones. I'm pulling out a box and going through the year and scrapping away instead of just pulling out pictures that I just "feel like" scrapping. Making use of these sketches available on sites like Scrapsketch REALLY REALLY help get the process started.

Hero Arts Challenge
This is my card for the Hero Arts challenge. They have 4 different sketches to choose from and you are asked to use at least one Hero Arts stamp. I had a hard time coming up with my theme but in the end I really like my little bird. I'm not big on stamping and then cutting it out as I can't cut a straight line without my trimmer but....I did it and after inking her up and adding some fun flock to her wing and some bling with my copic spica glitter pen and a pearl in my flower I was pretty happy with her.

Color Combo #10
This was a hard one as I don't use purple very often. The color combo challenge is to use pumpkin pie, pale plum and crushed curry together on your project. I had this patterened paper on hand in one of my DCWV stacks and although can't tell from the picture it is beautiful and glittery. Let me know what you think! You can check out the challenge at http://spcolorcombos.blogspot.com/.

Pink Elephant Challenge #27
Here is my entry for this week's pink elephant challenge which was to use brown, turquoise and a neutral. If you click on the picture you can see this sweet photo closer and you will get a chuckle at the drool on her chin. It's still precious to me though - playing dress up is going to be so much fun!

New Digi Horse Card - Sewn Together
This image is the new digi stamp Angela from Sewn Together Stamps made (see link on sidebar) when I suggested a horse wearing a saddle and prancing. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I tweeked and tweeked on this card but finally reverted back to my simple style in the end. I tried to duplicate the color of a palomino horse as my favorite horse that my Dad had was a big palomino named Dusty. I want to get it in the mail in the morning as it is going to my Dad who is having some tests this week. Be sure to go check out her stamps as she has been BUSY BUSY BUSY and has all kinds of new stamps up on her blog! I'm loving this western theme!

Pink Stamper Challenge
If you haven't already checked out Robyn's new look on her blog - you need to go see! She is having a week of celebration and challenges this week and today's challenge is to use something you haven't used in a while. She reminded me about my "wheels" so....that's what I used for my challenge. I made my background with my stampin up illuminated wheel and then just added my image and ribbon. My brown inks don't match perfectly but I love the flourishes and the pink/brown combo. Come join the fun at www.mypinkstamper.com !
Awesome Blog Candy
You have to check out this site. I just ran across this tonight and not only is it an awesome site but they are giving away copic markers (a whole set). I just recently purchased my first copic markers and I am still learning to use them but they are awesome!

Sewn Together Design Team Call
I recently found these digital stamps through a post on the cricut chat message board and I think they are so fun. The cards I'm posting today are all designed by Angela Doescher of Deployed Designs. They are from her sewn together collection and the link for her store is in my sidebar. Be sure to check our her blog also at http://sewmanycards.blogspot.com/ . This little elephant is Eris and I colored her with copics as I did all the stamps I'm posting today. I used the spica glitter pens on her hat and paper pieced a second one which I mounted on dimensionals to give ...well, some dimension.
This is her Donkey Digital Stamp and I think she is precious. I used a piece of copper I had and ran it through my cuttlebug for the base on this one. I got the idea from stamp TV when Gina K embossed aluminum foil!
This card is also made with the Donkey and I used white fun flock for his mane so it is nice and fuzzy. I did a little paper piecing for his patches.
This cute little hare is Halen Back to School. I think he is just adorable. I used some DecoArt Snow Writer to give his little cotton tail some dimension. I also used my numbers cuttlebug embossing folder on this one for the base.
This is Tayla the Tiger. You can't really tell from the picture but I used fun flock on her mane also so she is nice and fuzzy. I hope you've enjoyed these cards. Be sure to go and check them out as she has many really sweet designs. Please feel free to leave me some comments and let me know what you think!
