Blog Candy

I mentioned some blog candy several posts back when I noticed by chance that I had made 100 posts so here it is!!!  This is open to anyone with a US address.  All you have to do is leave me a comment here on this post telling me what you love about scrapbooking and/or why you scrapbook.  This will be open until Sunday evening midnight Hawaii time.  I'll draw a winner on Monday, Feb. 15.

  5. Thanks for the chance to win some great blog candy. I started scrapbooking after my MIL invited me to a scrapbooking retreat. Ever since it's been a fun activity that I can enjoy with my friends - plus I end up with a album of documented memories.

  7. Scrapbooking...a way to express your creativity, relive memories, and pull those pictures out of shoeboxes and albums and actually display them!

  8. What wonderful designs you create! They are so thoughtful and clean - the photos and images are the focus and all the elements around them support them. Neat.

I scrapbook to leave something of value behind to my kids. I always loved stories as a child and could NEVER have enough information or family stories. I hope that by scrapping a few stories and memories can be "gotten down" and that my kids will get a sense of who I am/was/will be when they look back on them.

Originally, I scrapped to help my daughter remember what her chemo check up routine was like since we were going to be doing them less frequently and I didn't want her to freak out. I hoped that her CHOP book would help her remember the routine and not make all the procedures too scary. We're still trying to finish the book since so much has happened since. Thanks for listening!

  9. Thank you for the chance! What I would LOVE to have in the blog candy package if I win would be some of that beautiful, warm weather you have in Hawaii! :-)

Scrapbooking is my escape and stress reliever! It is also my way of recording our memories for my kids to be able to always look back and see. I love being able to sit in the livingroom as a family and look through our albums and see the smiles on my boys faces.

    Thank you so much!

  10. I love the stamping, scrapping, and blogging world you have introduced me to!

I love scrapbooking because it is my "me" time. However, my family is always in my thoughts and heart because the pages are about how much I cherish and love them!

  11. What I love most about scrapbooking is ME time a time to be selfish and do something I love to do! But in a way it is still for my kids because I love when they look back through the pictures and scrapbooks and talk about all the memories and the fun times in our lives! And I hope many years from now it is something they will truly cherish and it will help them remember all the good times we have shared together!!

Thanks so much for this great chance at some blog candy!!

  12. what I love most about scrapbooking is making those pictures and memories come alive through the journaling. Being able to recapture a moment and have those that are looking at the layouts feel what was going on in the pictures. Also there's the sharing aspect of scrapbooking. Getting together with friends, laughing, sharing ideas and bouncing ideas off of one another.

  15. Why I started really scrapping is with the birth of my third child. I was 40 when I had him, and did alittle with the others but a store opened by me and took a class and I was hooked. I just love the feeling of creating something with paper and turning it into a work of art. Thanks for the chance for some candy. Lovely blog!
