Candy Cane Christmas!
This is not my typical post but this was so fun to do and I love the end result so I had to share with you! This was made using a metal candy cane form and I wove some chunky yarn through it and then just added some florals and a bow! Done and done! Weaving the yarn took some time but it was almost therapeutic LOL!! Hope you try it! If you do, please post a picture!

Christmas Gleaming
I knew right away when I saw the new holiday catalog I wanted this Christmas Gleaming bundle! This bundle includes the gorgeous stamp set and TWO punches!! Great for someone that does not own a die cutting machine as you won't need it with this bundle! All you need is this bundle, paper cutter or scissors, some ink, cardstock and adhesive and you are good to go! You can make the most gorgeous cards and treat holders...even ornaments with this set! Do you remember these? We can make something similar with these punches and it will be so much quicker than with the dies that these involved.
I will try to get an ornament or more made with these punches later this week! Happy Crafting!

Painted Harvest
Yesterday I pulled out the Painted Harvest stamp set again and I had so much fun making this background! I used Daffodil Delight to stamp the base and then the next layer in Pumpkin Pie...the beauty of this is that the stamps do not have to be lined up perfectly...it looks great however, you do it! I then took granny apple green and stamped the two layers of foliage...for the lighter, I just second generation stamped (ink up your stamp and stamp off your project and then stamp on so your ink is lighter). The center is stamped in crumb cake. This sentiment is from the same stamp set and I stamped it on crumb cake and then cut it and the dark espresso layer with dies from the Ornate Frames dies and layered them on top of one another. I'm sure hoping this die set is held over and doesn't retire with the holiday catalog because I LOVE it!! I'm definitely getting a lot of use out of it! That beautiful mini buffalo check is from the Neutral Designer Series Paper. The raffia was just on my desk as I had saved it from some packaging from something. Hope you enjoy this card! Happy Crafting!

Halloween 2/4/6/8 Treat Box
I've still got parts and pieces left over from the last Paper Pumpkin kit so I made this fun little treat box. This style box has been around for a long time so I don't know who came up with it but....I took a piece of the Monster Bash designer series paper and it cut down to 6 x 8 1/4. I scored the 6" side at 2" and then the 8 1/4 side at 2 inches, 4, 6 and 8 inches (hence the name). Then you just cut up the 6" side to the 2" score line and that makes the bottom of your box. The 1/4 flap that is left on the tall side is where you put the adhesive to make the body of the box. You can easily adjust this box to the height that you want....just take the height you need and add the 2" for the bottom and there you go! I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set that came with my Paper Pumpkin kit and then the left over skeleton and made a couple of tags for my box and just that easy I have a cute little treat box!

May Your Christmas Be Bright!
Hope you had a nice long weekend! Rachel and I were lucky enough to get to go visit family! Here in Indiana, it is beginning to really feel like fall and I just got in a Christmas mood and made this card. This card is super cute but really really super simple! This Christmas designer series paper is retired but....there are beautiful new ones available. I actually ordered this when it was on the clearance rack but it must have sold out fast as I checked and it is gone already. The statement set I used is Making Christmas Bright and I used the wreath image and just stamped the sentiment right inside! I added a little of my favorite polka dot ribbon and some of the gold sequin trim that was also recently on the clearance rack. If you are shopping on my stampin up site, it is always a good idea to check the clearance rack as they have awesome deals on there and they go fast. Speaking of deals....I saw a little notice on our demonstrator page today that there is going to be a big sale next week so be sure to check back as I will share the details as soon as I get them!
Happy Crafting!!!

White Pumpkins!
I LOVE how this card turned out! I love the earthy feel and even though I am drawn to all the traditional fall colors, I adore white pumpkins! This card really only took minutes to put together. I used the Birch background stamp on very vanilla cardstock. I embossed a strip of early espresso cardstock with the Subtle embossing folder and added some whisper white baker's twine. I stamped the pumpkin from Harvest Hellos stamp set in soft suede ink on very vanilla cardstock and punched it out with the Apple Builder punch. Remember if you want both you can purchase it as a bundle and save 10%. I then shaded the pumpkin with the Ivory Stampin Blend marker. Those cute leaves are part of that same Harvest Hellos stamp set and I just water colored those with granny apple green, daffodil delight and pumpkin pie and then cut them out. The sentiment is also included in that stamp set. Hope you enjoy and give this card a try! I'd love to see what you make!

The Skeleton Dance
I didn't get to stamp on National Card Making Day as my daughter and I were busy with a Girl Scout fundraiser but I did sit down yesterday and make a few things that I will be sharing this week! This card was made using this past Paper Pumpkin kit! I'm not much of a Halloween celebrator (is that a word...LOL) but I do love the colors and the fun decor! I thought these little skeletons were adorable and this card idea was included in the instruction pamphlet so I just had to make one! The sentiment was also part of this stamp set and I cut it out using the Ornate Frames Dies....I just cut one of the images down a little so I didn't cover up my skeletons too much!
If you aren't a Paper Pumpkin subscriber and would like to try it out...now is a great time! Stampin Up always has wonderful holiday kits and if you sign up before October 10th you will get the October kit as your first one! October and November kits are going to coordinate and they are called Winter Wonders.
If you are interested you can sign up online here and/or message me with any questions you might have. These kits make great gifts also. There is no obligation and you can start and stop as you wish. I love getting my monthly surprise of crafty goodies!!! The kits are $22 per month and shipping is included...the kits come with everything you need to make the projects for that month plus you always have left over pieces and the amazing stamp set that comes with it to use over and over again! I've heard that October's kits will be cards and November's will be gift tags! You just never know what it will be....past kits have included cards, home decor, gift bags, gift boxes, etc. It's always something fun! Happy Crafting!!

Pumpkin Apple Builder Punch!
Just playing around with this cute apple builder punch! I wanted to make a quick 3D item and this punch is perfect for that! Now, technically, it is the apple builder punch but on this beautiful fall day I just felt more like making a pumpkin. I just punched out 3 each of pumpkin pie and vanilla cardstock. Before I punched I took the polka dot mask and sponged pumpkin pie ink on it....LOVE that look!! I then just scored each piece down the middle and glued 1/2 of a pumpkin pie to 1/2 of a vanilla polka dot and so on until I add all but the last two halves together and then I added my stem just before I glued the last two pieces together. Super cute and would be a fun project to do with kids, too!

Kelly's Sketch Challenge
So Kelly over at A Stamp Above posted a layout or sketch challenge last night and I thought her card was so cute....I just had to play along! I used Spooktacular Bash for my stamped images and the Ornate Dies to cut out the "spooky". You can purchase these two together as a bundle to save 10% if you use this code. These dies are so pretty and can be used for way more than Halloween projects! That cute designer series paper is from the Monster Bash pack. I did a quick little video so you can see how this is sort of a 2 in 1 card:
This layout would be great for any sort of card! I can't wait to make some Christmas ones!!!

Paper Pumpkin
I love the ease of Paper Pumpkin! I was able to put September's kit together in a matter of minutes and look how cute they are!!! Here are a couple of closeups as there are two different designs:
You can't really tell from the pics but underneath the "hand" that is holding the tag are the sweetest little black clothes pins! If you haven't tried Paper Pumpkin yet, the holidays are a wonderful time to check it out! If you sign up before October 10th then you will start with the Winter Wonders kit below which will coordinate with November's kit! If you have any questions or would like to place an order, please feel free to contact me!
Harvest Hellos
I finally found some time to clean up my craft area enough to make a project! I knew when I saw this Birch background stamp that I would love it and I do!! I see myself using it all the time! That cute polka dot piece was made using the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks and I just used the sponge dauber to add the color! So easy! What a great way to make your own patterned papers in whatever colors you want. Those cute pumpkins were made using the new Harvest Hellos stamp set and the Apple Builder punch. If you want to order them both then use this link to get a special bundle code and save 10%. This cute set not only makes these cute pumpkins but also apples....hence the name of the punch! The sentiment is from one of my favorite stamp sets Country Home and I cut it out using the Ornate Frame Dies. The little curly "q's" are just really thin strips of cardstock that I curled around my paper piercer. Hope you are having a wonderful fall!!!

Spooktacular Bash Home Decor
Finally got around to making a project inspired by this project on the SU idea board the other day.
I decided to go with a Halloween theme for this one! I used the Monster Bash Designer Series Paper from the new holiday catalog. The sentiment and the frames are from the Spooktacular Bash Bundle. I love those frames in that die set!!! They are awesome! The gray and black "greenery" came from dies out of the Botanical Tags die set and the Smooth Sailing die set. I threw in a little of the polka dot tulle ribbon and done and done! Hope you enjoy this super easy and quick project!!

Free As A Bird Challenge
My sweet friend, Smita, and I decided to do a little challenge and we decided to challenge each other to use the wonderful stamp set Free As A Bird. She blew it out of the water by making this gorgeous shaker card! She is so talented! Look at the coloring on those birds!!!
I opted to go for a "fall-ish" look. Isn't it great that even though we chose the same focal image that our cards have such a different look and feel! I colored my birds with the Stamping Blends and then used a little watercolor for the blue background which isn't really showing well in this photo. I cut out my image and the mat using the Stitched Nested Label Dies which you can purchase as a bundle with the Free As A Bird stamp set and save 10% by using this item number. I also used the All Wired Up background stamp and I LOVE it! I'll definitely be using it more and more! My card is a sort of fun fold as you can see more clearly in this photo:
Peeking out from the inside of the card you will see a cute little yellow strip of designer series paper and it is from the Bird Ballad set which is part of the Buy 3 get 1 FREE designer series paper sale!
Hope you have a wonderful Monday and a great start to your week! Smita and I would LOVE for you to join us in our challenge! Please post a photo of your project in the comments! Happy Crafting!

Spooky House
I had fun today playing with the Home Sweet Home Thinlit Dies. Believe it or not, these are on the clearance rack! It comes with all the dies you need to make a house with windows, doors, window frames, door frames, shingles, etc. plus lots of little goodies to decorate it for whatever holiday you might be planning. The cute little ghost and bats even came with this set. The Spooky that is heat embossed is from the new Spooktacular Bash Bundle and I cut it out with one of the dies from that bundle...remember if you are purchasing a stamp set with coordinating dies always look to see if there is a bundle code for them as you will save 10%! You can find all the bundle options here. I LOVE the dies that come with this set as you can use them year round! Lots of super cute frames and shapes for sentiments! Here is a view from the side so you can see the window and the shingles.
You can't really tell as it is black on black but there is a "frame" around the window and it comes with a choice of front doors and frames for those as well. Lots of different options to make this little house your own creation! The door is "hinged" so it even opens!!!
As always if you have any questions or would like to place an order, please let me know! Thanks so much! Have a great weekend and Happy Crafting!!

Good Morning Magnolia
Just got this Magnolia Embossing Folder and I love how it makes such a beautiful focal point on a card front! This card is a CASE from the catalog and was so easy to make. I just embossed the card base and added a couple of the small flowers from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and die cut them with the coordinating dies. I added a little bit of metallic thread and a piece of Whisper White Flax Ribbon with a sentiment from this same stamp set stamped on whisper white cardstock. The cute little flourish is stamped on crumb cake cardstock and cut with a die from the Magnolia Memory dies also. Such a simple elegant card and it only took mere minutes to make!
I can't wait to see September's Paper Pumpkin. I have heard through the grapevine that it will have 20 food safe boxes as the project! Plus remember you will have a super cute stamp set to use on other projects also! If you want to receive this kit be sure to sign up before September 10th. I’m looking forward to using that more and more...I’m thinking it might make a great “water” background! This sweet bird image is a great focal point and makes. a super easy card and looks great colored in with Stampin blends! You can also purchase this sweet stamp set in a bundle with the Stitched Nested Labels Dies and save! Sailing Home 2
Here is a CASE of a card using that same Sailing Home stamp set I used in my previous post. I cased a card in the Stampin Up catalog on page 144. This card was so easy! Notice that beautiful background paper does most of the work and I used a couple of scraps from my last card’s leftovers. Always save those left overs...lol! Please excuse the mess on my table...I am still stamping and camping! Love that this is a hobby I can take “on the road”! Don’t forget about Bonus Days...you get a $5 certificate for every $50 you spend before July 31st. The certificate will be good for purchases made in August.

Sailing Home
I apologize for being absent! I've been super busy this spring/summer. Right now I'm camping and stamping...LOL! Just wanted to share this card I made with the new Sailing Home stamp set. There are so many fun images in this set and I can't wait to play with the rest! There are also Smooth Sailing dies that coordinate with this set. If you look closely you will see a ship's wheel tucked behind the sentiment which also happens to be cut from a die in this set. If you are interested in both be sure to order it as the Sailing Home Bundle as you will save 10%! That beautiful patterned paper is from the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper and it is gorgeous!!! I used one of the stamps on crumb cake paper to make the background image with the birds. That is always a fun easy way to create your own patterned paper! The whole month of July are Bonus Days with Stampin Up and that means that for every $50 you spend in product from July 1st to 31st you get a certificate for $5 to spend August 1st through August 31st. Win! Win!!
As always, please let me know if you have any questions and Happy Crafting!!

Good Morning Magnolia
Here is another sneak peek from the new catalog! Good Morning Magnolia is a huge stamp set and don't you love that huge magnolia image!!! It is so beautiful and so fun to color! There is a coordinating die set also and I'm loving the newly designed dies....they "hug" your image so much better with still leaving a little white edge. It is soooo much easier to line them on your stamped image! So much fun!! New catalog goes live June 4th!!!
If you don't already have a demonstrator, please contact me and I will hook you up with a catalog.

So Grateful
I had so much fun playing with yesterday's card that I thought I would switch and try using the negative space for my blending. I used the same mask but this time I just used my Versamark pad to ink up all the open areas on the stencil and then embossed with white embossing powder. After that was dry (don't look too close as you will see where I was holding the card...lol) I used the same blueberry bushel, lemon lime twist, grapefruit grove and daffodil delight inks to blend over the card front just like yesterday. Once I was done adding ink I just took a tissue to clean the unwanted ink off the embossed areas and this is the end result. This greeting is also from the Country Home stamp set that I used yesterday. Love these fun summery colors!
Don't forget to check out the Last Chance products as once they are gone they are gone. Be sure to stock up on your favorites.

Simply Thankful
Love this technique!!! Super easy and super fun!! I used one of our retired masks but you can find the current ones here. I basically just washi taped my card base down on my grid paper and then taped my mask over it. Then I sponged blueberry bushel, lemon lime twist, grapefruit grove and daffodil delight on it and this is the beautiful result! What a fun end result and oh what fun to make!!! I used the sentiment from the Country Home stamp set and stamped it in blueberry bushel. I cut it out using the stitched oval from the Stitched Shapes framelits and used the next size up and cut one in blueberry bushel yardstick to layer together. That's it! I wish I could take credit for this but I saw a video by Gina K this morning that inspired this. You can watch her video here.
If you haven't already be sure to check out the clearance rack as there were some items added to it recently and there are some awesome deals but they are selling out quickly.

Butterfly Gala
For those of you who missed out first round, the Butterfly Gala bundle is back in stock! This is a wonderful bundle for a new stamper! It comes with a large stamp set (lots of different butterflies) and a punch that cuts out the small and the large butterflies! I love that the small and large butterflies are together on one stamp....meaning that both are attached making it super easy to stamp and then punch them both out at once. I have layered my little butterfly on the larger one....like it is catching a ride! I colored these in with my blends but you could just as easily use colored pencils or water color! There are 5 different sentiment stamps in this set!! If you zoom in on my greeting you see some pink....I did that on purpose using my Wink of Stella pen and it gives a watercolor background as it picks up the ink. I used it on my butterflies also but you can't see the glitter in my photo but I promise you it is really pretty!

Crafting Forever
Talk about a simple card to make but how cute!!! This idea, again, is not my original and I can't remember where I saw it but love it!!! These images are from the Crafting Forever stamp set. I was upset when I saw this in the last chance items as those items are retiring but....then I realized that the wood mount and the clear mount versions are all retiring, however, some stamp sets are coming back and will be in the new catalog in cling mount form! This is one of them!! If you see something that you are concerned is retiring but can't order right now, just message me and I will let you know if it is coming out in the new cling with the new catalog. It's a little confusing!

Retirement Time
It's that time of year.....sad to see some favorites go but excited to see the new catalog, too! You can see the items that are retiring here. I haven't seen the new catalog yet but I have read that some items on the retirement list might be showing up in the new catalog in the new cling or photo polymer stamps, too. Our trimmer is retiring and there isn't a new one available just yet but one is in the works. Also, the big shot is retiring but something new is coming that we can still use our dies that we have now with. More information will come as soon as I get it! I was really surprised to see the envelope and the gift box punch boards on the retirement list! Be sure to check these items out as they will go fast!

Piece of Cake
I had fun today playing with this awesome bundle Piece of Cake! This set includes the stamp set with several different varieties of cakes that you can add plus the awesome punch to cut out the cake and the cake stand! It also includes several sentiments including the one I used on this card. I apologize for the shadow but I am so glad to see the sun! I used the Rectangle Stitched Framelit dies to make the frames. They make it so easy! The background print paper is from the Brights Designer Series papers. These include 40 sheets of papers that are double sided in the different color families. I love them because they are nice conservative patterns that work with any theme you have going on in your project! I colored the cake and stand with my favorite Blends and even used one to give the sentiment some "border". If you purchase this stamp set and the punch together using the bundle code that I've linked to then you save 10%. This bundle has been extremely popular and was out of stock for quite a while so if you are interested you might want to consider placing your order sooner than later.
Don't forget about Paper Pumpkin. If you haven't signed up yet and you want to get in on this month's DistINKtive kit, you need to sign up by April 10th. As always if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Happy Crafting!!!

Healing Hugs
I was just playing around this afternoon with the Healing Hugs stamp set and I wanted to try out a layout I saw on our Stampin Up demonstrator page (at least I think that is where I first saw it). I would love to give credit but I can't find it again so if you are the person that made the card with the pretty spring colors and the Painted Seasons stamp set please let me know. I thought I saved it but it isn't there now. Hers was much more beautiful than mine but I am still happy with the results. If you enlarge the picture you can see the ever so subtle embossing that is done with the Subtle Embossing Folder. I think it gives the illusion that it is raining. This is one of the DistINKtive stamp sets and I LOVE how much depth these images have. They are so fun to work with. I'm excited to share that we have a sneak peek about April's Paper Pumpkin kit:
If you sign up for Paper Pumpkin by April 10th then you will get this kit! I can't wait to see it! If you are new to Stampin Up and/or Paper Pumpkin, it is a monthly kit that comes in the mail and it is always a surprise. We have seen all sorts of projects, gift bags, gift boxes, cards, home decor, calendars, etc. It always comes with everything you need to make the projects and more. Your first kit will include a stamp block that you will use on future kits, too. Each month you get a stamp set, project materials, a stampin up ink spot and even adhesives. You just need your scissors possibly to cut any ribbons that might be included. You can start and stop your monthly kit whenever you want as there is no minimum obligation. The kits are just $19.95 and that includes shipping. You will have the projects that your kit makes, plus extra supplies, and the stamp set and the ink spot to use over and over to make more projects. There are even Paper Pumpkin groups on facebook that even post alternative ideas on how to use the "parts" of your kit. If you are here local to me I'd love to host a Paper Pumpkin get together each month and we can assemble them together.
Here is another card I did like the one above, however, I used a leaf from a different stamp set, no embossing but added some pearls and a different sentiment from the same Healing Hugs stamp set. I did a little water coloring on this one. Don't forget if there is anything you want from Sale-A-Bration, it ends Sunday night (the 31st). No fooling!
Happy Crafting!!!

Celebrate!
Angie from Chic n Scratch made this cute fun fold card today and I couldn't wait to try one! You can see her tutorial here. I used the Hello Cupcake stamp set again.....love stacking that icing!! The sentiment is also in this stamp set and it will only be available until March 31st. You can choose it as a freebie with your $50 order. The sweet little heart embellishments are some left overs from a Paper Pumpkin kit. As demonstrators we have been given a "clue" to the April kit and it is going to include a DistINKtive type stamp or maybe two or even more! To get the April kit you need to sign up before April 10th. If you purchase a 3 month or more prepaid subscription before the end of this month then you can also get this cupcake stamp set for free or anything else you choose from the level 1 Sale-A-Bration items. These kits are so fun and include everything you need to make the projects for that month plus you will have the stamp set and the ink to use on future products plus there are usually many other "extras" you can use also! Makes a great gift for a crafty friend or even a friend who doesn't see herself as crafty as all the instructions are included!
Here is a view of this card open. You can put your message on the panel directly behind the image.
Happy Crafting!
